Is it compatible with Xfinity Wi-Fi in Chicago ? null

Yes and no. The eero will not wirelessly extend the Xfinity's wifi network however if you plug one of the eero into it, it will become a gateway/head eero and create its own wifi network. You can then use other eero to wirelessly extend the gateway eero's network.

I cannot speak for Chicago but it works with xfinity in Mpls. Erro devices have easy setup and work well.
