No, What you described is how I have mine connected and it works great. I have one connected in my “office” with the ethernet and the others are in different areas of the house. All three are plugged in to an electric source and only one connection by ethernet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That's exactly how you set it up. Plug in one to your router and set it up using the app. The app will walk you through placing the others and setting them up. Once all are connected, you will have wifi everywhere.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just connected my eero in my home and it was really simple. You only need to connect 1 to the ethernet - if you purchased the multi-pack eero, this would be the module 1 that is connected to the ethernet. That connection will then connect to the others you place around your house. VERY easy support during set up - it will walk you through where to place them to get the optimal signal (recommend using your smartphone with the eero app). The other modules have an ethernet connection that you can connect say a TV or laptop to for a stronger connection. Good luck and enjoy!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi CC33, You only need to connect one directly to the modem. The others can be placed about the home and simply plugged in to an outlet.
