- Answer Hi Sherry, the eero Outdoor 7 is designed to integrate seamlessly with existing eero mesh networks, including older models. However, it does not function as a standalone router and requires a connection to an eero gateway (router) to operate effectively. If you're considering using it with a non-eero router, such as one provided by your ISP, the Outdoor 7 won't mesh with that network. Instead, it can serve as an access point, extending Wi-Fi coverage outdoors, but without the benefits of eero's TrueMesh technology. Hope this helps!

Avoid placing them near heavy metal objects, appliances like microwaves, or other sources of interference. Strategically placing the gateway eero in a central location and using the eero app to guide you will help ensure strong, reliable Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home. - Answer Yes, but this model does not have a 6Ghz antenna unlike the Max 7 so you are losing your "best" speed band.

- Answer Hello Peter! The UPC number will be on the box itself. All model numbers of eero will work with all other model numbers of eero. Differences in model number for a specific model do not indicate different hardware configurations. The model number for an eero Outdoor 7 is SN10001 I hope this information helps, have a great day!

QuestionI am installing a 3 node Eero 6E MESH in my home. I will need a couple of outdoor nodes to reach out buildings. Will the Outdoor 7 integrate on the same network with the 6E? Or will I need to hard wire it and create another network for out building?

- Answer You can add the Outdoor 7 to your existing eero network. Another network is not required. You would add it like you would any wireless eero leaf node. Plug the eero in, wait for the led to go blue, then go to the eero app. Select the blue plus button in the upper right corner, select add/replace an eero device and then add an eero.

- Answer The eero Outdoor 7 will not wirelessly extend a non-eero network. The way it is meant to be used is by having another eero hardwired to your Xfinity router, this will make an eero network. The eero Outdoor 7 on the same building will connect to that eero network either wirelessly or via a PoE+ injector (Xfinity->ethernet->eero->ethernet->PoE+ Injector->ethernet->eero Outdoor 7, you could also go Xfinity->ethernet->eero PoE Gateway->ethernet->eero Outdoor 7) and see how the wireless reception is at that far building. If it is still poor add another eero Outdoor 7 to the far building and you will get good wifi.

- Answer The 399 priced version of the eero Outdoor 7 will come with the Ac Adapter. The 349 version will not have this ac adapter and will need PoE+ via ethernet to power the eero.
