• Yes, this should work fine. You will have one eero hardwired to that modem. The other eero can connect either wirelessly or wired to the head/gateway eero and they will broadcast the same network, extending the range and speed you can get.

• The eero plugs into your modem One plugs into modem and it communicates with the other eero units. I installed 3 units and now have really good wifi coverage in and around the house. They are compatible because they work from the modem

• Extenders and mesh systems are completely different. Yes, the eero Pro 6 will work, and you will be amazed at the coverage and speed. STOP using extenders all together, get the mesh system and be happy!
