• The eero Pro is a router so no other router needed. You do need a separate modem to which to connect the eero Pro.

• You need a cable modem...i bought a good netgear CM700 which works well with it

• Yes these are extensions of your router enabling you to get better reception in different parts of the house.I have noticed much better reception when using iphone ,computer etc.

• You still need a modem but the eero system replaces your existing router. I am extremely pleased with the eeros performance and I would recommend this device for anyone with a large home and/or multiple smart home devices.
