I also have Frontier. I was having a problems getting a good single at the other end of the house with Frontier, but when we purchased a smart tv and got Netflix we had a lot of buffering and where the modem was we could not hard wire and ethernet cable. I also could not get my phone on home network from the back of house it was always on LTE. We purchased the Pro WiFi System (3 eeros), 2nd Generation and had geek squad set it up. They enable bridge mode on the modem device. I also use the Ethernet connection for my tv with one of the erros (the erro has and ethernet port the beacons do not). So far it works great. I'm not a tech person that is why geek squad set it up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your statement is pretty confusing to me so I’m not sure I’m answering properly. However, it is unlikely the eero will generate a stronger WiFi signal; they are better at providing coverage in areas of your home that have very weak-to-no WiFi coverage now. But your Netgear extender does essentially the same thing. I would troubleshoot all of this as follows: 1- determine what Internet connection speeds you’re paying for from Frontier. If less than about 20mpbs or so, you may wish to upgrade. Note that you will only get a fraction of this “best case” speed over WiFi. 2- look at your router next. If it is over 4-5 years old, it’s time for a new one with better speeds, better WiFi. 3- look at your Netgear extender. Since it is relatively new it should be fine but is it compatible with your router? 4- sounds like your guest didn’t sign into your network at all. But their phone calls and possibly email would normally come from their carrier’s cellular service, not from your network. Did they have a strong carrier cell signal at your home? If not, that’s the issue for them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The EERO system will definitely help extend and strengthen your wifi signal.....but not your cellular connection for phone calls.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Definately. Extenders never worked well for me, often they setup a brand new SSID with the same name, and moving between extenders is a hassle.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hasn't done it for us.
