“Using a Powerline to extend my WiFi signal. I'd like the stability of a wired signal in a separate building (in-home office). (Powerline does NOT work.) We have fiber-optic service. Linksys WRT54G. Will this work wired in separate building?”

The answer to your question is Yes and No! Yes, The Eero system will work from one building to another. I used 3 pros to go 250 feet to another building. We have great signal strength and were able to create a wired network inside the other building using an ethernet switch/hub. His internet is very stable. No, the stability is based on your home router/gateway. If you have unstable internet in your home you will have unstable network in your building. You can set up the Eero system to create a new network, and given its ability to auto switch between frequencies, should be stable. If your home network is unstable, your Eero system will only be as good as the home network. Once set up to a hub/switch, the inside network is amazing.

Please try again later.This will work if you hardwire the PC/Laptop/Device directly to the Eero but performance is all dependent on how strong of a signal the main hub (Eero Pro connected to modem) has to the other mesh point in the Office. The app does a really good job on showing placement/recommendations on your mesh points and will also inform you of how strong of a signal the mesh point has to the main hub.
