Connect one to your home wifi router, and plug in one or two either under the house floor or in the attic area. These areas should allow better range than the chicken wire faraday cage problem you are having. I have 3 set up. One at router creating network, one outside to boost signal, and one 200 plus feet away as receiver connected to a router in the wood building.
