The glow you're seeing is the actual flame heating the oven to your desired temperature. It will go on and off to keep the oven at a constant temperature.

Please try again later.i returned this range after 1 week it stopped working the convection fan stopped working when i was using the oven in convection mode the display would show the fan was running but the fan looked like it was trying to spin but you can see it was binding i returned it for the lg was a little more but was worth the money as far as your question goes yes i think this is normal you should see orange glowing.

This is a great question and after reviewing model number EI30GF35JS I see that the convection and broil elements turn on to assist with the preheating and this would cause a glow in the unit.
