“Can you buy the drawers separately or do they need special installation? I want to buy the drawers at a later date and am wondering if I have to have them installed with special hardware or can we pick them up ourselves and place the machines on top?”

You can absolutely buy them at a later date and install them. The pedestals come with all needed mounting hardware to install, just keep in mind that the washer and dryer (especially the washer) are heavy so you will need multiple people to lift them on top of the pedestals. Thank You, Electrolux
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't recall seeing the installers use any special tools or clips. Ask a salesperson to be sure, but I assume you could do it easily if you're able to safely pick up the machines to set them atop the pedestals.
