We do not recommend that your dryer is stacked on your washer that is currently installed on top of a pedestal, as the unit may not be steady and this may be a safety hazard. QuestionCan you buy the drawers separately or do they need special installation?I want to buy the drawers at a later date and am wondering if I have to have them installed with special hardware or can we pick them up ourselves and place the machines on top?

- Answer You can absolutely buy them at a later date and install them. The pedestals come with all needed mounting hardware to install, just keep in mind that the washer and dryer (especially the washer) are heavy so you will need multiple people to lift them on top of the pedestals.
