Yes it does. There are no batteries for the screen itself, only for the remote used for raising/lowering remotely. (There is a hard-wired attachment you can use to raise/lower the screen without a remote, too.) The supplied power cord is also pretty short, so make sure to put it somewhere there is power near the ceiling or be ready to use an extension cord.
