Is the tripod sturdy? null

Yes. We used it outdoors on a fairly windy evening. No issues.

I am a female and I was able to set it up w/o issues. It isn't flimsy nor heavy but it is awkward if you try to more it when extended since it extends upward.

It seems sturdy enough for me. I have not used it many times, though.
