It has lasted a couple days at least. I try to bring it home every day, clean it, and put it on the charger every evening. It has an excellent battery life.

The cup stays charged for about 80 minutes. You will need to bring the charger with you.

Hey Doug, The answer to your question is YES would have to bring the charging pad, that's if you wanted it to last through out your 8hr shift. Fully charged travel mug only last for approximately 3hrs. *Note* I think the idea of this item is great. But for me, the quality of material that was used to make it isn't the best for its priced and the fact that it only last for 3hrs fully charged.
