“There's a second Amber light that comes on while cooking (not immediately maybe 1/2 way) yet goes out before the food is done. What does that Amber light mean? User manual says 5 beeps = food is done. Only heard one beep. Is the manual wrong?”

Now that you mention it I remember reading 5 beeps also. Mine only beeps once. I think the amber light is the preheat light to let you know it is reaching the set temp and it goes off when it reaches it.
