QuestionCooked some skinless chicken breast and brushed oil on.Chicken came out pale.We read reviews ahead of time (for the same size digital model) and others have been able to brown their food.What am I doing wrong?I did use parchment paper in basket.

- Answer I don’t own this anymore. I bought a larger one and gave this one to my 21 year old daughter however, I did use it and had excellent results. I use the exact same method I’d use if I was cooking in an oven. I rubbed oil on my chicken then seasoned it. I didn’t add oil during the cooking process. The pic is from my new Larger air fryer. Also, maybe add paprika. This will also help with color.

QuestionHow many chicken cutlets or chicken bottoms can be fried in this? Also, can chicken cutlets or anything else be layered and still fry nicely?

- Answer Depending on size, 2 or 3. I only cook for 2 of us. If you have a family you would want a bigger unit. I would not recommend layering items.

QuestionThere's a second Amber light that comes on while cooking (not immediately maybe 1/2 way) yet goes out before the food is done. What does that Amber light mean? User manual says 5 beeps = food is done. Only heard one beep. Is the manual wrong?

- Answer Now that you mention it I remember reading 5 beeps also. Mine only beeps once. I think the amber light is the preheat light to let you know it is reaching the set temp and it goes off when it reaches it.

- Answer It is teflon or a coated material like that so it will scratch. Don't use scratchy side of sponge to clean or metal utensils. We have had our about a month and it is very easy to clean.
