“Will this program open .doc extensions or only .docx extensions?”

• Melissa; According to my own experiences as a computer consultant, I have been able to open .doc and .docx files with no problem. The difference between the two is this: .DOC is the older format to Word documents prior to Word 2010; .docX is a newer style of Word formats beginning with Word 2010.
