Hi Jeff, Great observation! The difference you noticed is due to how manufacturers calculate and report capacity. The 5,000mAh rating refers to the cell’s capacity at its nominal voltage (around 3.7V), which equals roughly 18.5Wh. The 19.25Wh figure on the box represents the maximum energy at full charge (4.2V), not the nominal value. The “rated capacity” is often slightly lower because it accounts for conversion losses when stepping up to 5V for USB output. --Energizer PowerPacks Service Team
