To my understanding the the max speed it supports is DDR4 2400, I upgraded mine from 8GB to 16GB. In the laptop there are 2 4GB DIMMs. The DIMMs are located under an RF shield on the bottom of the laptop's motherboard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not sure about the speed of the RAM but you will have to replace the two 4 gb modules and replace them with two 8 gb modules. The HP Service Manual has all the info needed to replace the RAM, hard drive, etc. It is available for download on the HP support website.
