Sometimes the best answer is found going to the HP site and trying their configuration tool for this laptop. Ignore the comment that says this is not possible - there is definitely a configuration with NVMe™ M.2, which means that if you are handy with this kind of stuff you can go and upgrade it yourself (same applies for memory)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes you can add m.2 ssd you need to blow away spin drive then install windows on m.2 use windows installer to do all of installs
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the ram is upgradable by removing the under side of the laptop where you will find two sodium memory modules under a metal shield. Next to the memory is an empty M.2 NVMe slot. A 500 GB drive should be enough for most. Videos of this can be found on YouTube search Ryzen 2500U. Hope this helps. Ps recommend downloading the service manual in PDF format from HP’s website.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have been wanting to know about upgrades on this model as well. As far as I can tell from the HP service manuals, the memory is non-customer accessible, meaning RAM cannot be upgraded. I was told via chat with Best Buy that you cannot just swap the HDD for a 2.5" SSD, either, however, the HP service manual indicates otherwise. I do not know about an M.2 SSD. It is a configurable option in the HP store, but that doesn't mean the mobo 100% for certain has an empty slot for it, especially given these are specially configured for Best Buy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you can not install an M.2 NVMe SSD drive in this laptop.
