There are instructions on how to perform maintenance on HP's support website. There are 2 SODIMM slots, one of which is populated with 8GB of RAM. Best Buy's Geek Squad will upgrade the RAM for you for a fee as well as cost of parts. I'm not sure what, if any, the discount is if you get the upgrade when you buy it, but usually it would be $39.99 for the service fee and about $80 for another 8GB of RAM for a total of 16GB.
