• Hello Mich. The printer will notify you which color needs to be replaced when expended. You do not need to replace multiple colors unless notified by the printer. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.

• You only need to replace the ink cartridges if they are low. The printer will let you know if they have to be replaced.

• I only replace which ever cartridge the printer tells me is out. If just 273xl is out, there is no need to replace the photo black too. If you only print in black, you can set the printer to print in black only.
