“Can I use Black 288 with Colour 288XL for Epson XP-440? Or do all cartridges need to be either 288 or 288XL? With nozzle check, colours print and black doesn't. Could it be caused by an incompatibility between Black 288 and Cyan/Magenta/Yellow 288XL?”

Hi MEGnificent, You can mix Epson 288 and high-capacity 288XL cartridges in the same printer. Please try a nozzle cleaning or see the Epson support site for your printer for helpful videos, FAQs and user's guides. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
