You must replace the cartridge then press the Blue diamond Key and the cartridge will recharge.
If you try to print without initiating. Your page will be blank.

go to epson.com and put in your printer model and it will tell you what ink is compatible

My ink boxes don't read 288-I. The 288 cartridges work on my Epson XP 330. Check the instructions or with Epson to make sure your inserting them correctly although I don't have any problems

It depends on what your printer number is and that's the number you go by when buying the ink for it

They are not the same. Check the top of the ink box for your printer type. If it's there you can use it in your printer.
