• Both 99 and 98 fit the Artisan 800 series. One holds more ink than the other and is more expensive as a result.

• Both are used for the 800. One is standard capacity, one is high yield.

• Both the 99 and 98 Claria ink cartridges are correct for an Epson Artisan 800 (color photo/printer, copier, scanner and fax). The 99 is standard capacity while 98 is high capacity allowing for more pages to be printed before running out.
