I presently use a HP Smart scan that is on my pc. I place the document on my scanner and control everything else from my desktop pc. The doc or pdf is then sent to my PC via wifi. Does 3850 work this way or is it all controlled at printer panel. null

When you connect your printer to your computer it installs Epson Smart Scan and I’ve used that to do all my scanning and it works the same way as the HP smart scan.

Hi Jimmy, You can control scanning and where scanned images are sent from a computer connected by Wi-Fi. You can also use a smart phone or tablet to print or scan. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
