Yes, we've got this Epson with a Fire Stick and connected to bluetooth soundbar using that approach. The only (small) issue is you need to manually turn on the soundbar before turning on the Epson to get them to automatically connect, or else the Amazon -to-soundbar connection has to be done manually every time.
