If you are referring to full sun outside you are not going to see it that well at all. In my opinion viewing experience would be horrible. I haven’t had the opportunity to do an outdoor setup with a heavy overcast day but it should be a lot better (this is to be tested at a future school event). I have done an indoor viewing in an elementary cafeteria (one all all windows) and with the lights off it was a great picture. So inside you don’t have to blackout the room but you definitely don’t want another light source shining on the projection surface.
