While the printer does print photos, it is missing some features that you may miss if you need to do a lot of photo printing. It does not have a dedicated photo paper tray - it is not convenient to switch between photo and regular paper. It doesn't seem to be able to print borderless photos. It doesn't have a USB port or memory card slot or graphical display allowing you to print directly from usb or memory card. The quality is quite good using good photo paper, but not quite as good as my past two HP's that were more intended for photos. On the plus side, the ink does not run terribly when it gets wet like my last two HP printers did. Printing directly from your phone, which most people are going to want most of the time anyway, is easy. And there is no question the cost per print is very low.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This printer produces excellent photos. There is no document feeder. It is a lift-lid flatbed scanner.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I assume when you say "document feeder" that you are referring to the scanner. There is no document feeder for the scanner. You must raise the cover and place each item that you want to scan. As far as I can tell, all printer paper goes through the paper tray at the bottom. I don't see a way to insert printing paper any other way. I hope this helps
