“Will the printer work just using a black ink cartridge or do I have to install all cartridges for it to print. I don't print in color. Thanks”

You must have all four cartridges in working order. However, if you only print Greyscale/Black & White, the color cartridges should last indefinitely; you will only use them when cleaning or aligning print heads.

Please try again later.I'm not 100% sure if it'll allow you to use it if the cartridges aren't all installed, however it does come with all of them in the box, and if you want to only print in black and white, you dont have to ever swap the color cartridges out. Then you can also get the black XL cartridge every time to refill
