“We are interested in scanning photos as well as receipts. We really don't want two scanners, and this one seems like the best choice for photos. Can this scan receipts and export to Quickbooks like the RapidReceipt RR-600W?”

Absolutely. I have scanned, besides old photos, receipts on papers of various stock. note that I normally scan receipts singly and not in batches. If the stock quality is similar, I suspect that you will not have jamming issues. Also, I have scanned photos in batches without any problems to date; so, I would think that you would be able to scan receipts in batches.
