QuestionI bought an epson 2250. At first the projectors sound volume was good when using the apps on android tv. But then the 2nd time I used the projector the apps went almost silent and I had only extremely low volume from the projector using the androidtv apps

- Answer Somehow the "Android" volume gets turned way down. And this is a different volume setting from the primary "Epson" sound setting. I had the same problem. SOLUTION: Use "Google Assistant" on the remote, and say "Set Max Volume", this will turn the "Android" volume all the way up, then all you have to do is adjust the main (Epson) volume using the remote keys. Also make certain Google assistant is enabled by clicking "APPS" on the remote, and then clicking tools -> apps -> Google assistant, and click to enable. THIS IS A BEST IN CLASS PROJECTOR!!! BEAUTIFUL. ACCURATE, BRIGHT PICTURE, EVEN WITH THE LIGHTS ON!!! UNLIKE DLP PROJECTORS, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO RAINBOW EFFECT!!! ALSO: Replacement Bulbs for the Epson 2250 is around $60, DLP replacement bulbs can cost well over $200.

QuestionWe have the 2250, but cannot connect via Bluetooth to literally anything in our house. Is there a list somewhere of speakers that are compatible? Tried the JBL sound bar, tried every Echo we own, etc. Annoying.

- Answer I'm having pretty much the same issue. It will connect to a cheap pair of bluetooth earbuds and a small Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3, but none of my soundbars or my Sony SRS XP700. I'm really annoyed, because this thing has great picture quality but it is ridiculously limited in it's audio connectivity, and it is NOT easy to see if a speaker is compatible with this thing before you purchase and try it. Don't know why it has to be so hard. Almost every other bluetooth device I've ever owned just worked. This one is apparently limited on purpose. It needs a firmware update, big time.

QuestionHow do I use the smart TV function while getting the high-quality sound through my AV receiver and not depend on the 3.5mm jack stereo sound? The Bluetooth is also choosey as it did not connect to the Denon receiver.

- Answer You can actually remove the android dongle from back of the projector, and connect it directly to your AV Receiver and then connect the AV out from receiver to your projector.

QuestionDoes this have HDMI ARC support? I bought this to hook into my AV receiver and can't figure out how to get the sound to the receiver and the picture from my receiver to the projector.

QuestionSo in order for the projector to communicate sound to the AV receiver, then to the speakers we have to use HDMI AND an audio cord? A HDMI ARC compatible cord WILL NOT work?

- Answer Hello. Yes, you can connect the Epson Home Cinema 2250 to external speakers using a Bluetooth connection. - Answer Hi Nicky, Have you tried connecting the Home Cinema 2250 to your AV receiver using the 3.5 mm stereo out port? This disables the projector's onboard speaker and sends audio through the 3.5 mm port. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.

- Answer Yes, the Epson 2250 can be mounted on the ceiling. The projector has places for 3 mounting screws on the bottom of the projector. You have to go into the setting and invert the image when you do this, but it is very simple to do.

- Answer Hello Rebecca. Unfortunately, the Home Cinema 2250 does not include a TV antenna input. However, you can sometimes find apps to watch local channels available for download via the included Android TV device. Choosing the right color wall or screen to project on can vary based on different variables. - Answer A little lower but still very bright the 2250 is android tv the 800 is not the 2250 also has a 70,000 to 1 contrast radio way deeper blacks and better picture. Don't get me wrong the 800 is very nice and should a good buy but if you want the best 2250 is the best bet.

QuestionI bought the epson 2250 and also bough 120” 16:9 projector screen. All the movies i watched ( Netflix, Amazon and Disney ) all have Letter Box. Manual says thAt this is 16:9 native. Any steps to remove this on normal aspect ratio?

- Answer Hello Epson Tean Epson HC2250 has android stick integrrated and i use that as my source. Tried Netflix, Disney, Amazon Video ) and they all have Black Bars at top and bottom. Then i tried Amazon Firestick 4k ( connected it at the back of the projector ) and sams thing. All movies are showing HD but displaying black bars at top and bottom. Manual says that i can view 4k but netflix is not recognizing that i have a fake 4k projector and downscale it to 1080p. Menu > Signal > aspect ratio. Auto is greyed out. I can only set it to Normal > Full and Zoom Normal > black bars at top and bottom Full = same thing zoom = it will make it full but it will be overzied screen and will cut all corners. HC2250 120” projector screen 16:9 Integrated android stick ( also used firestick 4k ) Thanks for your quick reply

QuestionI just bought this projector as a replacement for an Optoma I’ve used for 10+ years. Video comes thru a receiver by HDMI. The video repeatedly cuts out for a second or two while the audio continues (also they the receiver). What can I do? Thx
