I just watched a hockey game on this with lights on and i had very little wash out at all. Obviously lights off is optimal but it is far brighter than my optoma uhd60 even though the optoma said it had a much higher lumen output. I think it is because of the color and the white lumens are the same and thus produces an overall brighter image.
