“If I mount the projector 9 feet from a 100" or 120" cinema scope screen will the image be fine or look distorted, ect. By chance if it doesn't fill the whole screen is that what the zoom feature is for?”

Ideally there should be any problem. I have mounted 100 from 9. It covers full screen.

Its also auto detect on aspect ratio base on your imput. 9 feet should not distorted. I have mine at 10 feet, i have 106 inches elite screen 4k. Maybe if you have cheap screen that dont support 4k, Setup Epson 5040ub Elite screen 106 screen Bose soundbar 700 (optical connector) Hdmi to audio coverter unit for sound
