• Yes, this scanner can do that. Your pdf or jpg photos may be saved to an SD card or thumb (flash) drive, as long as your computer has either an SD card slot (absent a USB card reader), and/or a USB port.

• I bought mine to travel to reunion. I can download to my laptop. I scan photos there and can scan small ones to an 8x10. It scans well. Thin and travels well with laptop.
