The so-called auto-cropping feature is awful on the V39 model. It consistently misses where the actual picture is so I am having to crop the images manually. Not a huge deal, but would be a lot faster if it actually worked. Also, trying to scan anything above 1200 DPI is a joke. First, the scanner goes to "Not Responding" then it jumps way up to like 39 minutes remaining...My PC is plenty capable of running a scanner. 32GB of RAM, 6-core 4GHz processor. Scan Image quality from printed photos is quite good. I am impressed. The Color restore feature is nice for someone like me who is not adept at photo editing, and the dust remover is also pretty nice. Did not care for the photo brighter. Coming from an HP Photo scanner, and this is a huge improvement combined with the software it comes with, which looks basic but has lots of neat features. I'm doing uncompressed .TIFF 1200DPI 24-bit scans from older printed photos for storing memories for my family. Looking forward to this project very much. I hope the scanner can handle it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Michael. The Epson Perfection V39 can scan multiple images as long as they are 0.8 inch (20 mm) apart. TIFF files are also supported, and can be scanned between 50 to 4800, 7200, and 9600 dpi. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team
