• Even though an installation CD comes with the scanner, you don't need it to install the program on your MAC. My MAC doesn't have a CD/DVD player, either. I went to Epson.com and downloaded the installation app from there. I had no problem doing this and no problems using my scanner.

• No CD needed. There is a website address in the setup instructions where you can download the software for the scanner and other user information. I set mine up on a Windows 10 laptop that doesn't have an optical drive and it is working great.
