• Honestly it's hard to answer your question because there are too many variables. Such as how much usage, how well you take care of it. Any thing with moving parts breaks down faster the more usage the item has. If you are using it often it won't last as long.

• MY OTHER EPSON PICTUREMATE LASTED ABOUT 10 YEARS....AND THEN I GOT THE ERROR MESSAGE THAT REQUIRED ADDITIONAL PART UPDATES...SO I JUST ENDED UP BUYING THE NEWER VERSION...I LIKE IT BECAUSE OF THE 4X6 OR 5X7 SIZE OPTIONS...BUT MY OLD ONE LET ME DO ALOT MORE ADDING STUFF TO THE ACTUAL PICTURES...LIKE FLOATING HEARTS OR SNOWFLAKES ...VOICE CAPTIONS...ETC
