Q: QuestionI have a Epson Powerlite 5030UBm about 7 years old. How much of a difference would I see with this model? Time to upgrade?? Thank you
Asked by 5030UB.
- A:Answer If you have a project that's 7 years old, I'm sure you will see a big jump in the quality of the picture. The 4k rendition is near perfect and I am super happy upgrading from a 1080p projector to this one. I see at least a 100x difference in picture quality.

Q: QuestionI understand that this is a pixel shift projector, I understand that its not native 4k, but - Is it just doubling a 1080p signal or is it actually showing the 4k resolution of the 4k disc? if it shifts, is it still showing that full 4k resolution?
Asked by kirtis.
- A:Answer Hi kirtis, The Pro Cinema 6050UB outputs 4K resolution doubles a 1080p signal using Epson's pixel shift technology. It also accepts 4K input. Please visit the Epson support site for full details. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.

Q: QuestionIs this projector a true 4K native or is it 4K enhanced projector like the others?
Asked by alex.
- A:Answer This is NOT a Native 4k projector! The Epson 6050 uses pixel shifting technology to increase the pixel count to that of 4k resolution. This difference between this and the 5050UB is an increased contrast ration of 200,000:1 (1,000,000:1 / 1,200,000:1) it comes with a ceiling mount, spare lamp assembly and additional year of warranty with 2 day exchange. Oh, and it black instead of white.
