“Why won't epson fix or replace a brand new obviously just opened printer? Are they really that hard up for money that they will make a formerly loyal customer this unhappy?”

I purchased an Epson a few years ago and was very disappointed especially a few years before that, they were one of the best printers around. Not anymore. I buy Brother printers. Been around for decades and they so far have lived up to their quality standards.
