• No. The R1900 takes Epson 87 cartridges. The P400 takes T324 cartridges.

• No. different inks. I was forced to replace my R1900 as it just froze up. Something common with Epsons. There is a lifespan. I purchased the P400. It does not compare to the (R's) at all! I have not had good luck with this printer!
