“Can 822 black be used in the Artisan 837 printer? If not which one will work. There are no specs. on the back of the box pictures.”

Hello suddie. That model is designed to only work with Epson 98 or 99 Ink Cartridges. Unfortunately Epson 822 Ink Cartridges will not work with the machine. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
