If you are mounting it from a ceiling you have options based on your mount and it’s adjustment capabilities. I was able to adjust mine down to 7 inches from the center of the mount to the front of the lens. The unit is fairly heavy so you need to remember the further back you adjust your center line you may have to compensate for additional tilt based on the weight of the unit.
