“The scanned images on my ES-400 are too dark. Is there a way that I can lighten the scan?”

• It’s because you’re scanning the documents black and white. Go to epsom smart, click on setting, then scan setting and then change the image type to either grayscale for a high quality black and white or color.

• Hi JonS, The driver and other software included with the WorkForce ES-400 II have settings to control the lightness of a scan. Please visit the Epson support site and refer the user's guide for your scanner for help.
