“Well the printer still print black with an up-to-date cartridge, if the color cartridges have past there expiration date? Another words do you have to update the color cartridges in order to keep the printer working for just black printing?”

I had the same question, so I went back to BestBuy. com and looked up this printer. Under the printer description, scroll down and click on “ How to choose the right printer ” . Once you have done this, keep scrolling down and there is a paragraph or section that talks about different types of ink cartridges and replacing them.
