“Will this printer function with only black ink on board, i.e. can the color cartridges be stored off board or empty in place? I ask this because I need a printer that does it all, but not very often and my ink cartridges end up dry.”

• No, if all of your cartridges are full and one isn’t. It will not print. A piece of trash, that’s why I’m returning mine. I advise you to return yours as well.
