It comes with software that includes Epson Scan, which can be set to save as .pdf. When set at 400 dpi or greater you can also chose a setting to make the document searchable, which utilizes the OCR function, allowing you to cut and past from the saved document. Editing will be dependent on the features available on the program you use with your .pdf files, i.e. Adobe, etc. Hope this is helpful.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it will scan to your computer. If you have a folder on your computer named 'documents', this is where it will go. You would not be able to edit the document unless you have Adobe read/write program. When scanning, it is saved as a .pdf document. Hope this helps.
