“Hi I just bought this printer and I see that is says about the scanner has OCR component. So do it scan to computer and I can edit any document I scan. Example filing a divorce documents such as fill in the blanks? Or do I need to buy a software? Thanks”

It comes with software that includes Epson Scan, which can be set to save as .pdf. When set at 400 dpi or greater you can also chose a setting to make the document searchable, which utilizes the OCR function, allowing you to cut and past from the saved document. Editing will be dependent on the features available on the program you use with your .pdf files, i.e. Adobe, etc. Hope this is helpful.

You would not be able to edit the document unless you have Adobe read/write program. When scanning, it is saved as a .pdf document. Hope this helps.
