VA is the only state where using a radar detector is prohibited in a passenger vehicle. They are also prohibited in DC. This detector can be detected by Spectre RDDs only. It is invisible to VG2 RDDs (radar detector detectors). The only radar detectors that are invisible to all current and future RDDs are our RedLine, Passport 9500ci and the Beltronics STi series of radar detectors.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this device does NOT have stealth technology. This is not really a problem tho, if you live in a state where it is LEGAL to own them (Which is most of the United States)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but they are legal in all states except Virginia and Washington, DC.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Police have never stopped me for using this.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have it on and If they have vg2 detection systems in the cruisers, yes they can. In areas where detectors are illegal (i.e. VA, DC, etc.) I know they have the systems. (I was once young, foolish & naive when in VA. Found out the hard way. I was just passing through the state & fortunately the State Trooper was decent & didn't confiscate the detector, which he legally could have. Just made me lock it in the trunk...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No and it's legal except in VA and Washington D.C. I think. So get it and if you go to a local stereo shop that sells it you can get a jammer upgrade for it which runs you over a $1000 but hey if you get hit in a blind corner or something that upgrade may save your @$$!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.depends on where you live. There are states (VA being one) where they are illegal....they DO have things that can detect this in your car - if you are going through a state where its illegal (and i advice you to check) put the radar detector IN YOUR TRUNK. Even if its in your back seat, they can still write you a hefty fine....but if its in your trunk, they cannot and dont let them bully you to convince you they can... check your state laws, usually where they are illegal they will have something that can detect if you have it in your car....sure cops hate it, but where its not illegal dont worry about it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not to over state the obvious; if you suddenly change speed when the nice officer triggers the speed detection device being used, it is obvious to the officer that you are using electronics. Brake lights from the rear are quite visible during the day and at night from any angle.
