Why would you authorize a company to sell your product but not allow people to buy services for that product? Either Authorize them to sell them or don’t labeling them a reseller makes them sound like Amazon where you really never know if what your getting is a legit product. This is Best Buy not Reverb.

While Best Buy is an authorized reseller, the Extended Service Plan can only be applied to purchases made directly from the factory. All of our detectors, whether purchased directly or through an authorized reseller, come with a standard 1-year warranty. As mentioned, the Extended Service Plan is available only for purchases made directly through our website, escortradar.com, or by contacting one of our sales agents via our toll-free number. The Defender Database is an optional subscription that allows you to download and store Defender Locations (such as Red Light Cameras and Speed Traps) in your detector's internal memory, ensuring you continue to receive relevant alerts. When you register your device, you’ll receive a 90-day free trial. It’s important to note that Defender information is also included in the Drive Smarter app, and purchasing a Defender Database subscription is entirely optional.
