Yes. You would just need to make sure there’s no obstruction from view like window panes(dividers). If you have a window screen just put the camera as close to the window glass as possible. We used ours inside to start with but now we have it sitting in window sill facing outside and it works really well. Plus if you set it to, it will follow human movement as they are moving and record them… plus alert you. Hope that helped

You’re better off getting the solo cam (and get the solar panel) or the solar powered solo cam as you can have it outside. A little pricier, but I think it would be better suited for what you’re trying to accomplish.
